Ego Death

Ego Death is a work I created to explore the profound and often painful process of self-transformation. The piece delves into the concept of 'dying to self'—the realization that personal growth requires shedding toxic beliefs and confronting the false identities we cling to. Through movement, Ego Death embodies the grief and struggle of letting go of a flawed sense of self in order to make space for a more authentic and liberated existence. This work reflects the internal conflict between ego and the need for personal evolution.

The work was made in collaboration with composer Gbenga Falana, whose evocative soundscape adds depth to the emotional and psychological journey explored in the piece. His music amplifies the themes of transformation and self-realization, making the experience both visceral and immersive.
