Duat is an evening-length work choreographed for the inaugural performance of Nashville Dance Collective. Drawing inspiration from Egyptian mythology, the work explores the journey a soul must take through the Duat, the realm the soul traverses before learning its fate and beginning its afterlife. Using this myth as a framework, Duat also delves into themes of judgment, transformation, and the concept of hell in Western belief systems, offering a modern interpretation of ancient ideas about the afterlife.

Duat features work choreographed by Matthew Robinson (02:00-02:45)
